Use Common Sense:

That said, there are some foods that are said to be really beneficial for people who suffer from GERD. One of those is pineapple, and the other is papaya. These are both incredibly healthy superfruits anyway, so adding them to your gastroesophageal reflux disease diet will always be beneficial. Iodine is also said to be really good, which you can get from iodized salt. However, you have to be moderate on this because too much salt is also bad for you, as it can lead to high blood pressure. Do also consider supplementing with omega 3, or consuming it naturally in your diet through fatty fish, or from flax seed oil. This is also very good for the brain, so it is another win-win situation.

If you have GERD, try, as much as possible, to consume lean meats and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Don't drink too much alcohol, get rid of the processed junk, and stop smoking. You can find relief from the condition in that way.
